Personal training that fits your routine

Sessions that suit you

I offer one-to-one personal training that fits into real life. Training should feel like something you can look forward to, not something you dread. My focus is on keeping everything clear, realistic and grounded so you can make progress at a pace that feels right for you.

Training is designed to work at home, with outdoor or gym-based sessions available if you prefer. Sessions are simple, supportive and focused on steady progress that feels achievable, without pressure or overwhelm.

I use practical, bodyweight-focused techniques that adapt to your starting point, without relying on complicated routines or specialist equipment. Based in Bacup and the surrounding area, I aim to create a calm, flexible training experience that works around your daily routine.

How sessions work

Our sessions are the core of your training. Each one focuses on safe technique, clear instruction and progress that suits your pace, using simple movements that build gradually without pressure or unnecessary complexity. Sessions are designed to work primarily at home, with exercises adapted to the space you have available.

Sessions are also a chance to review what is working and make small adjustments as your routine or energy levels change. This keeps training realistic, supportive and aligned with how you are feeling.

You will always leave sessions knowing what to focus on next. If you are training on a regular plan, you will also have access to an app to help keep things organised, with personalised routines and simple habit guidance shaped around your setup.

What to expect at your first session

Your first session includes a consultation lasting 45 minutes, followed immediately by a 45 minute session, giving us time to take things at a comfortable pace. We start with a relaxed conversation about your goals, your routine and what has brought you to personal training. There is no pressure to perform or prove anything.

The session itself focuses on a few simple movements to understand how you move, what feels comfortable and where extra care may be needed. This helps me shape the right approach for you without guessing or pushing too hard.

We finish by agreeing clear next steps so you know what to expect moving forward. Most people leave their first session feeling reassured, supported and clear about how training will fit into their routine.

Who my training is for

Personal training doesn’t have to mean one set place or one way of working. Sessions can take place in the environment that helps you feel most comfortable, confident and focused. We choose the setting that fits your routine and supports your progress.

People who need the confidence to start

If you feel unsure where to begin or worry about doing things wrong, this approach is designed to help you feel at ease from the first session. Training is calm, supportive and focused on building confidence through clear, manageable steps.

People who need flexibility around real life

Work, family, shifts and changing energy levels can make rigid routines difficult to stick to. Training is designed to work at home, with outdoor or gym based sessions available if they suit you better, so it fits around your routine rather than the other way round.

People who want simple, steady progress

If you prefer clear guidance and a practical approach, you’ll feel comfortable here. The focus is on realistic strength, better movement and progress you can maintain over time, without quick fixes or unnecessary complexity.

FAQs

Here are some of the questions I’m asked most often before getting started.

No equipment is required to begin. Most sessions use simple, bodyweight based movements. I bring anything needed for the session, and we can also use any equipment you already have if it’s helpful.

You’re free to move between options at any time. Longer term options offer better value per session, but the level of coaching and care stays the same throughout.

If we train in a gym, any entry or membership costs would need to be covered by yourself as part of the session.

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a drink.

I work within roughly ten to fifteen miles of Bacup. If you’re unsure whether your location is covered, just get in touch and I’ll confirm.

Progress depends on consistency and what you’re able to put into your training. My role is to guide, support and structure your sessions, but results will naturally vary from person to person.

Yes. Many clients start with little or no previous experience. Sessions are designed to feel calm, supportive and clear, with movements adapted to your ability so you can build confidence safely.

Sessions can be cancelled with at least 48 hours notice. This helps keep scheduling fair and manageable for everyone.

No. You do not need any prior fitness or experience. Sessions are designed around your current ability and comfort level, and everything is adapted so you can build strength and confidence safely over time.

A small clear space is usually all that’s needed. Around 2 x 1m is typically enough, and we’ll always find a way to work with what you have.
